Let’s talk about chicken. Chicken is the most genetically manipulated animal protein that you can consume, and there are consequences when you alter the natural process of growing a chicken.

Chickens are typically raised in a very inhumane and unhealthy environment. Many issues with the chicken you buy from the store are present because of the conditions the chicken was raised in.

Store-bought chickens even have added coloring, which is used to make them look healthy and appetizing. But, the need for this coloring can be traced back to the chicken’s environment.

Another big problem with chicken is that it’s very high in omega-6 fatty acids, which means it’s very inflammatory. Chickens are also fed inflammatory ingredients, like used cooking oil, that is in chicken feeds. This contributes to chicken meat being inflammatory.

Chicken is also low in nutrition. When comparing beef and chicken, beef is much more nutrient-dense and contains less omega-6 fatty acids.
